The Ballast Bin is a component of the Anti-Fall System, designed to support the necessary weight to stabilize clad fences.

This ballast bin is connected to the site fence using a Brace Arm, ensuring a solid and secure attachment. Indeed, the Anti-Fall System enhances safety through a load distribution principle:
When a site fence is exposed to wind, it generates a tipping moment around its base. This Anti-Fall System works by lowering the overall center of gravity and increasing the ground contact surface, thereby reducing the leverage effect that could cause the fence to fall.

Usage:
The ballast bin contributes to the stability of your fences. In fact, ballast is a key component of the Anti-Fall System. It involves adding heavy elements (concrete bases, Braceblok™, sandbags).
Its role is to lower the structure’s center of gravity. A light fence with a high center of gravity is more susceptible to tipping in windy conditions. By adding weight to the ballast bin, force distribution and resistance to tipping are improved.
With properly calculated ballast, fence uplift can be significantly reduced. Proper ballast prevents this phenomenon by keeping the feet firmly anchored to the ground.
